The private 7-point buying checklist.
Use this before following any retailer link. It helps separate a persuasive listing from the details that affect safety, privacy and long-term value.
Read the full material list
Look for a specific external-contact material such as silicone, ABS plastic, stainless steel or borosilicate glass. “Body-safe” alone is a marketing claim, not a complete material specification.
- Check every part that contacts the body.
- Confirm known allergies and follow the product manual.
- Avoid listings that provide no material detail.
Match care instructions to the design
Waterproof, water-resistant and splash-resistant are not interchangeable. Confirm the published rating, charging-port design and cleaning instructions before submerging a product.
- Use mild soap only when the manual permits it.
- Dry fully before charging or storage.
- Check lubricant compatibility with the stated material.
Ask what the noise claim is based on
“Whisper quiet” is usually a manufacturer phrase. Prefer a documented measurement that states distance, room conditions and operating level. If none exists, treat quietness as unverified.
Check the card-statement descriptor
Plain outer packaging does not guarantee discreet billing. Review the retailer privacy or FAQ page and ask support what name appears on card or payment statements.
Verify packaging and delivery controls
Look for a plain outer package, non-explicit sender name, tracking, safe-location options and any customs description that may apply in your country.
Read returns and warranty separately
Hygiene rules often make opened products non-returnable, while defective products may have a separate warranty route. Check both policies before opening the package.
- Return window and unopened-item rule.
- Defect process, proof of purchase and shipping cost.
- Warranty length and excluded damage.
Recheck price, seller and model
Prices and stock change quickly. Verify the exact generation, authorized seller, included accessories, delivery date and final checkout total. Never rely on an undated “best price” badge.
